  • A couple of birds here are probably lucky we have this particular lighting in this hall as the body colour is showing signs of grey but not in the cheek patches so we let them go.
  • We have to make comment on the last placed bird – we are judging Yellows and this bird is very suffused.
  • The second last bird has chewed tail feathers so penalized accordingly
  • First bird is a lovely hen which is strong in the body, deep colour.  She has a good head with strong shoulder. She is a worthy winner.
  • Actually eight out of the twenty one birds benched have blue feet and this is strange as usually we have fifteen of the twenty one birds with pink feet seeing they were bred through Cinnamons.
  • Second is a long cock bird but down a bit on colour but well placed but to size and deportment.
  • Third is a solid hen but was a little loose in the flights and where they sit which detracted from the overall bird’s confirmation but still a nice bird.
  • Fourth – the lighting favoured this bird to allow it to be placed in this position.
  • Fourth to ninth are very even in colour with good structure and size.
  • Bird in cage A has an eye problem otherwise it would have been in third place.
  • An even quality throughout the class
