Judges Comments:

Judged by Peter Thurn & Scott Eriksen

First (A Brown, Victoria) a violet cock and a modern bird with plenty of style and great deportment, nice impact throughout mask and spots.

Second (E & D Wise, NSW), an Opaline Violet cock which is very similar in style of bird in all respects to the winner but just lacked the winners overall quality.

Third (G Horrobin, Sth. Qld) is a green cock, strong bodied who showed well all dy but lacked the modern face of the birds above itNeale Love & Alan Rowe

Lovely variety and the top 5 to 6 are developing the cap features we are looking for.

First owned by Wilson & Hoadley (Victoria) is an outstanding fallow with deep mask, good capping, size and deportment.  An easy winner and has the top features we are looking for in an exhibition bird.

Second owned by Mark Hawke (New South Wales) Another outstanding fallow, very good around the top end but missing a few flights which we penalised for but it takes away his line.

Third owned by Mark Hawke (New South Wales) is a powerful bird but penalised for secondaries that tended to kick up which changed his line.

Fourth owned by Greg Horrobin (South Queensland) strong hen, good size, showing good features through the head and mask.

Fifth owned by Peter Thurn (Victoria) is a lovely styled bird in excellent condition and showed the entire time but just a little down in head qualities compared to the top birds.
