Judges Comments:

  • First place bird is a Light Green showing good variety.  It has a lovely clean cap with directional feather, deportment, deep mask, large spots and good colour.  The cap was the crowning glory.
  • Second is slightly more powerful than the third bird and has a deep mask, large spots and is a good size.  A strong shouldered bird but without the showmanship and style of the first bird.
  • Third bird is similar to the second. Another big strong shouldered bird that was difficult to get to show.  There was very little between second and third.
  • Fourth bird is a nice long bird displaying good variety but did not have the power of the birds placed above it and did not have the cap of the first bird.
  • We are very happy with the Opalines as it was a very strong class and it was good to see some nice clean Opalines amongst the class.
