Our first impression was that this is a super class of birds. We liked the birds in cages A (Jeff Leong, Victoria) and D (K Kerney, New South Wales) but they fell to pieces during judging. It took quite a while for the birds to finally show themselves and quite a few were slightly out of condition.

First bird owned by John Boss (New South Wales) is an outstanding clean hen and strong in all areas. She is a super solid Dark Green hen who showed well.

Second owned by R & C Ogden (Q’land North & Central Zone) is another clean Dark Green Hen, very strong who was just shaded by the winner.

Third owned by Henry George (South Queensland) is a very nice clean Light Green cock but just couldn’t match the first two strong hens.

Fourth owned by Jeff Leong (Victoria) is a big solid clean cock
