Judges Comments:

  • This was a very strong class right down to eleventh placing.

  • The first bird is a magnificent cock which is long, strong and super feather and face.  When he lets go, he is magnificent.  He is missing one flight and penalized accordingly but still a very strong bird. Excellent condition.

  • Second is another strong bird with good direction of feather and super face.  He is also missing one flight. He has better colour than the first bird but not quite as long in body as the winner but a strong bird.

  • Third and fourth birds are very close.  Third is a nice long strong bird and length of feather but has a tendency to drop its wings but when he turns it on he is a good strong budgie with good shoulder.

  • Fourth has magnificent colour and shows all the time.  He pushes up the feather and has a nice square face. Not as strong in the body as the first three.

  • Fifth was our highest placed hen – and is a white hen.  She is a strong bird but in rough condition.  A super hen with good head with and lovely feather.
